Limited Artists’ Editions

Art of olive oil, and olive oil in art. Agricola Due Leoni has collaborated with artists since its founding. Employing the heraldry of founder Giuseppe Catalano di Melilli, we create artist editions and offer creative residencies at our farm, in a hands-on experience of agriculture. We are world leaders in our editions featuring unique artwork in the field of gastronomy.

Since 2012, Agricola Due Leoni has collaborated with contemporary artists in the creation of specially designed olive oil editions. The project is curated by Cornelia Lauf, a longtime proponent of artisanal practice in contemporary art. Our mission to support small farming is achieved by matching superior agricultural products with the best creative minds in the visual arts. Hand-harvested agricultural products, carefully tended throughout the planting and harvest season, are presented in globally compelling visual frames. Presented at trade fairs, or in museums, in restaurants or private homes, the container and product are synonymous with excellence. 

Even the modest art collector can make a difference in small farming practices, as well as assemble a premiere art collection. Our approach to the Mediterranean environment is based on experience in planting, harvesting, weather cycles, and sustainability. Our artists often refer to each other and to the history of contemporary art. From Marcel Duchamp’s readymades, to the Campbell soup can of Andy Warhol, or the insider winks of Conceptualism, our curatorial project offers a small tutorial in art of the modern era.  

Agricola Due Leoni combines passion for olive oil and food with interdisciplinary dialogue between artists and agricultural producers. Our beautiful and nutritional products are a philosophy and way of life.

We welcome partnerships with like-minded entities, and have collaborated with premiere museums and galleries worldwide, as well as creating custom labels for individual clients. A shared aesthetic, interest in the fluidity of art, and belief that its function can also be in contexts outside traditional usage, informs our collaborations.
