Francesco Ciavaglioli was born in Avezzano (L'Aquila, Italy), in 1983. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, and then moved to Rome. After numerous exhibitions and residencies, he transferred to Milan, where he is currently based. His primary interest is in deepening the relationship between images and their reproduction, through painting and various media. Ciavaglioli won the Novicelli Prize in 2020, and is the subject of a recent museum retrospective in northern Italy.
