Swiss artist Christian Philipp Müller studied fine art and graphic design in Zurch at Farbe + Form. His most prominent works included early investigations of the notion of borders, on the transmigration of seeds and international character of gardens, and an uncanny ability to shape graphic design with the mind of an artist. His publications for Text zur Kunst, Skulptur Projekte Münster, the Biennale of Venice, and many artist's book publications constitute design and art history of the last thirty years. Müller's prodigious knowledge of history and his anthropological eye to material culture are unique in the panorama of living artists — he turned attention to farmers decades before agricultural practice was admitted into the canyon of contemporary art.
